A Swiss Swiss cheese, Emmentaler’s slightly salty, nutty, buttery taste is perfect for fondues, sandwiches and cheese plates
Swiss Emmentaler (also known as Emmenthaler) is a firm cheese from the region of Bern, Switzerland. Riddled with holes, it is beloved for its sweet aroma and a fruity, pungent flavor that is very similar to Gruyere (they're both produced in the same region) and a texture that is firm but pliable. Lovely used as a table cheese or paired with fruit, Emmentaler Swiss cheese is also a perfect fondue cheese because of it beautifully easy melting.
