As of the 1st March 2022 Yamaha has issued a recall notice for 3 models of MT09, the MT09, MT09Sp and Tracer900 GT due to an improper ECU setup that could cause the engine to stall. The notice states: 1. Due to improper programming of the engine control unit, when the clutch lever is held with the throttle closed during deceleration, if the clutch lever grip is small, the air mixture inhaled into the combustion chamber may become thin.
