Reigning Formula One champion Max Verstappen continues his relentless march toward a third straight world title with a dominating win at the Austrian Grand Prix. He was far away from the chaos behind him as multiple drivers were given time penalties for going off track limits. Verstappen started from pole position and secured his seventh win in nine races. He increased his championship lead to 81 points over his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez. A successful protest from Aston Martin showed that some time penalties had not been imposed on drivers. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. dropped from fourth to sixth and Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton from seventh to eighth after both received additional time penalties.
