It is relatively easy to breed, so it is very popular. Due to its pronounced cannibalism, overpopulation in tanks that are too small is avoided, which prevents problems in smaller tanks. The Triops Longicaudatus likes temperatures in the range of 21-25°C. It tends to be greyish, has a rather longer tail and a small carapace. Compared to other Tadpole Shrimp, it is very active and often swims wildly through the pool. Sometimes you can watch loopings in the water. It has comparatively fast growth, which is why it starts laying eggs very quickly. Important information: You will receive an egg-sand mixture with approx. 50 eggs, but there are usually more. We only breed ourselves and can therefore not offer an exact number of eggs. The size of the Triops eggs is comparable to grains of sand, so counting the eggs is almost impossible. We regularly take random samples for control, but our breeding also consists exclusively of our own approaches. So we can guarantee a high quality!
