The result is a bracing, full-bodied 56.5% ABV whisky delivering renowned smoke with a particular rugged character and depths of sweet and spicy flavor. A dram poured neat is lively on the nose with hints of vanilla, pipe tobacco and leather while overwhelming the palate with toffee, fudge and cinnamon. Splashing in a couple drops of water draws out additional peat smoke and notes of sea salt.
