The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are accurately ground and have a slimmer cross section. Bevels are ground at a 25 degree angle. Handles are stained Hornbeam. Blades have well-seated heavy steel tangs and solid brass ferrules to withstand vigorous mallet work.

This chisel is made by a small tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The blade is made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59. The blade will take and hold an excellent edge. The blade is accurately ground. As with all fine edge tool, it will need sharpening/honing before use. This chisel is an excellent value in a good quality tool. This blade is 3 mm (1/8”) wide and is 4 5/8” long.
