Crayon sur papier. Ce dessin met en scène un chat assistant à un concert. Le chat ne fait-il qu'assister au concert ou y contribue-t-il également ? Sa tête est en effet couronnée d'un soleil chantant, ouvrant un large bec pour mieux faire entendre sa voix. Au bas du dessin, deux souris profitent elles aussi du spectacle. Le chat, trop absorbé par la musique, ne les remarque même pas ! Le chef d'orchestre est une tulipe. Des notes de musique s'échappent de sa partition. Au-dessus de la tulipe, deux petits klaxons-trompettes volants semblent eux aussi chantonner. Sur la lune, un poisson dans sa barque sommeille paisiblement, bercé par les chants. Lui non plus ne semble pas craindre la présence du chat, qui est comme envoûté par la musique. Pencil on paper. This drawing shows a cat attending a concert. Is the cat just attending the concert or is it also contributing to it? Its head is crowned with a singing sun, opening its wide beak to make its voice better heard. At the bottom of the drawing, two mice are also enjoying the show. The cat, too absorbed in the music, doesn't even notice them! The conductor is a tulip. Musical notes are escaping from its score. Above the tulip, two little flying horns also seem to be humming. On the moon, a fish in its boat dozes peacefully, lulled to sleep by the songs.
