Charge 16650 battery to 4.2V before first use (slightly below 4.2V is perfectly fine). Never use force to install (insert) li-ion battery. Use only high quality battery charger. Do not expose to heat. Li-ion (any Li-ion battery is sensitive to Hot & Humid environment. Do not short (connect) positive (top), and negative (bottom) battery terminals (contacts). Do not charge unattended. Safety is always No.1 and having high quality Li-ion charger is very important. Long Term Storage: Do not store your li-ion batteries fully charged (for extended period of time - 1 month and longer).
