Since taking over the pub in 2014, we’ve worked hard to keep its homely charm alive. Whether it’s a lone traveller popping in for a quiet pint or a big family gathering for a meal, we take real pride in our customer service. We love what we do—and we truly love the people who walk through our doors.

Originally a Drovers Inn and steeped in history, The Fforest Inn has offered sustenance to locals, travellers, and visitors for centuries. We’re proud to carry on that tradition today. With a focus on warm welcomes and homely hospitality, our cosy rural pub is the perfect spot to meet, eat, and relax with friends and family.
Our traditional pub food is all lovingly made in-house. The current menu is below.
MENU
Our menu is all about proper, hearty pub food—made in-house just the way it should be. We source ingredients locally wherever we can, like meat from our village butcher and free-range eggs and spuds from nearby farms. This is a place to unwind, catch up, and take things slow. Nothing’s fast here, including the food—just good, honest cooking served with a warm welcome.

Our carvery is extremely popular and advanced booking is highly recommended. Each week we serve three meats (beef & lamb, pork or turkey). Our vegetarian option is a homemade Wellington with lentils, kale, beetroot & apple, which can also be prepared vegan on request.
The vegetarian option is cooked to order, so in order to avoid delays in service it is helpful to know if any in your party are vegetarian as soon as possible.
Our gravy and white sauce is suitable for gluten free customers. However, please note the Yorkshire puddings are not gluten free.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in the bar (not the restaurant). We only have a limited number of tables in this area.
